The Solodallas Storm brings the essential Schaffer sound into a compact stompbox format, recreating key tone-shaping elements from the original Schaffer-Vega Diversity System used by some of the most iconic guitarists of the 1970s and 1980s. Built around a 100% analogue circuit, the Storm combines optical limiting, EQ expansion, harmonic clipping, clean boost and line buffering to deliver the punch, sustain and harmonic richness associated with classic recorded guitar tones.

Unlike a standard overdrive or boost pedal, the Storm is designed to enhance the way your guitar reacts before it even hits the front end of your amplifier. The Gain control shapes SoloDallas’ signature clipping circuit, adding crucial low-mid punch and helping the guitar stand forward in the mix with more authority and presence.

The Boost control provides up to 31dB of clean analogue boost, making it ideal for lifting solos, adding fullness to clean amp tones or driving an amplifier harder for natural saturation. Whether you want a stronger lead voice, more body from your rig or that pushed classic rock response, the Storm gives you a powerful and musical way to hit your amp harder.

The Limiter control is based on Ken Schaffer’s signature Opto-Isolator limiter circuit. This analogue optical limiter helps control the signal going into the pedal, smoothing excessive peaks while retaining attack, string separation and natural dynamic feel. It can be adjusted to suit different pickup outputs, from open and touch-sensitive to tighter and more percussive.
