This set of Stratocaster pickups delivers all the chime and bell tone enjoyed by Strat players in the 50s, but with a sweeter sounding treble attack.

The Alnico 2 Pro Staggered single coil Stratocaster pickups use hand ground alnico 2 rod magnets with a traditional staggered pattern, and heavy Formvar mag wire with a special wind pattern to produce that classic bouncy tone you’d expect from the best 50s Strat pickups. The treble attack is soft and sweet, the mids feel just slightly scooped, while the low end has a vintage sponginess. Chords have a nice smoothness and single notes have a singing, musical character. This calibrated set includes a reverse wound, reverse polarity middle pickup for noiseless operation in positions 2 & 4. Like all our vintage Fender-style single coil pickups, we start with the right color and thickness of Forbon flatwork. Along with the period correct magnet stagger, these pickups come complete with waxed and tinned cloth pushback hook-up wires and traditional keyed bottom plates. The bobbins on all the Alnico 2 Pro Staggered for Stratocaster pickups feature hand-filed flatwork, are assembled and lacquered just as it was done during Fenders Golden Age, and are wax potted for squeal free use.
