At the core of the Empress Drive is a rich, amp-like all-analogue clipping circuit paired with an exceptionally thoughtful control layout. A sweepable midrange EQ sits before the overdrive stage, allowing you to choose which frequencies hit the circuit harder. This has a major impact on the response and feel of the pedal, making it possible to dial in tight, articulate drive sounds or push it into looser, more textured tones with a fuzz-like character.

The boost section is equally flexible, offering up to +30dB of gain and switchable placement before or after the drive stage. Used before the overdrive, it increases saturation and changes the feel under the fingers. Used after the overdrive, it works as a powerful volume lift for solos or pushes the front end of your amp with authority. A clean mix control lets you blend your unaffected signal back in, helping preserve pick attack, note clarity, and low-end definition.

To fine-tune the final output, the Empress Drive also includes active bass and treble shelving EQ after the mix stage, giving you precise tonal control without compromising balance.
